Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks

[ English ]

Internet poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you must either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is equal to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including an amount in accordance with the original bet. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The house pony’s up cash equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
