Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player on the globe by most of the top professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before reaching turning 1. His papa taught Phil penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was addicted to poker and wanted to discover everything he could about poker. He routinely told his grandparents that he was going to be a professional poker player. He did not permit the detrimental comments from others annihilate his ambition of becoming one of the best poker players in the world.
He started playing intently after getting a false ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his techniques at the casinos of Atlantic City. The beginning number of years for Phil were a teaching opportunity and coming away with a win was not a regular outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 WSOP where he made two final tables and came away with his 1st WSOP bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the final table he defeated a number of the well known pros including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
